Reckonings with Unconsciousness is a watercolor series exploring humanity's relationship with ancestral knowledge, memory, and the natural world. Through symbolic compositions, the paintings consider what has been forgotten, what remains beneath the surface of conscious awareness, and how our connection to the living world shapes our understanding of ourselves and one another.

The series began during a six-month artist residency in Mérida, Yucatán, and continued through experiences in Panamá. Now comprising 30 paintings, this body of work reflects an ongoing exploration of what has been lost, what remains, and what may still be remembered.
