This is my first attempt at kintsugi. Which is a Japanese art of repairing subtle cracks in ceramics. This practice teaches that broken objects are not something to hide but to display with pride. Which I really like. Instead of discarding something that isn't "perfect" we embrace it and give it new life.

The two trees in this piece represents the dance two people engage in when they open themselves up to being vulnerable with each other. Honoring the sway of coming together and moving a part. May this piece remind you to respect and hold a space of acceptance and safety for each other. Honoring the power of this transformation by embracing and accepting your and the other's imperfections.
